Cristata Torch coral is a great beginner coral and will sway back and forth to the currents in the aquarium. Torch Corals are a favorite of many reef keepers because of the sense of motion they bring to a reef tank. Cristata Torch corals do have sweeper tentacles that can extend but typically they retain a compact form. Cristata torch can tolerate a wide variety of tank conditions but enjoy medium lighting around 100-200 par and gentle to moderate random flow. Too much current could damage these corals so it's best if you find a location with good lighting and mild-intensity water movement patterns ...just like Goldilocks enjoyed her porridge - neither too hot or too cold.
